1st Competition of 2008- 2009 Season

The 2008-2009 judo season has started with this first competition which took place on Sunday September 21, 2008 at El Cerrito. This tournament was organized by the East Bay Judo Club. Our young judokas were able to meet other fighters, to assess their physical conditions as well as their judo technique. Some of our players either move up a belt or grew up, therefore had to fight in different weight and age categories. For some of them, those changes have been a challenge and have required some adjustments. As I remind them on regular basis, every tournament is a learning experience and competitions belong to a set of tools in order to advance in the knowledge and understanding of this sport.

Congratulations to all our players and we wish them a very good season.
